New Year, New Trials, Friends,.... House? I think so.

HAPPY NEWWW YEARRR! Well. I'm almost 2 months late on that one, my bad! : ]

Trials... Oh boy. On October 19th 2009 my mom had a terrible accident. I don't want to go into too much detail on here, so I"ll give you guys the Readers Digest version. My mom and my little brother went on a hiking trip at Lake Lansing North (by our new house, but I'll talk about that later). Liza, Ava and I were at volleyball at the time, and my dad was at work. When volleyball ended I got a call from my dad saying mom was going to the hospital because she had an accident in the woods. My first thought? "Oh boy mom, she decided to go all nature girl on us..... she should ask for persmission next time" Thinking it wasn't that big of a deal. Upon our arrival at the hospital, we waited for a good 30 minutes with my dad. We went around the corner for only 30 seconds, during that short time, the ambulance pulled up. As the girls and my dad sprinted around the corner we saw my mom being unloaded.... God is so good because we only saw the back of her head in the stretcher.

I remember (and hope to forget) the nurse running up to us and very nervously urging us to go into a private room. Inside the room there were two couches and two chairs, and about 20 boxes of tissues. As soon as I realized why the tissues were there, I (along with Liza and Ava)started bursting into tears. Moments later, a very official looking doctor came in (with more tissue may I add) and asked to see my dad outside.... privately. At this point, I was actually afraid for my mom's life. I pray that I will never be in that kind of situation again.

When the doctor came in, he also brought my brother (who was with my mom the entire time, mind you). I regret what Liza, Ava and I did when he came in. We ignored him. Not purposefully, but because we were so upset and we were so scared what the doctor was saying to my dad just outside the door. I finally realized Asher's existence in the room, and I just remember thinking, "What has my little brother seen? Why does his face look so out of this world scared/nervous/scary?" (I'm actually tearing up a little bit right now as I write this because it's so fresh in my mind)

All of this happened so quickly. My dad went back with the doctor, running full speed. (My dad isn't a runner, so not only was it a shock within itself. But it scared us silly that something really bad was happening behind the doors that we couldn't go past.) A few minutes later, a nurse came over and gave me a walky-talky so I could talk to my mom. The conversation was short and dismal. All I remember was both of us crying, and me repeatedly sobbing, "Please don't go, please!" Then my dad got on the line, and told us that we needed to go home, and that he would be spending the night at the hospital. That is what we were left with. Four kids crying in the hospital lobby and not even knowing what was going on. When we came back out to my car, both of the front doors were wide open. Scared much? Yes. Petrified with fear? Much better definition of that emotion. All three ducklings were behind me, and I just charged forward and went right into the car, looked around, and nothing was gone. Do you know what I had in that car!? I had a GPS, a camera, purses, necklaces (not gold, but special to me!), shoes, and my wallet!! Yet another thing that God saved us from! : ) PLUS, when I took a right out of the hospital, some yahoooo driver nearly took us out. It was REALLY bad!

I fail at Reader's Digest versions.

In the woods, my mom tripped on her walking stick and the stick went through her eyelid, and right into the tiny space between the bridge of your nose and your eyeball. It missed her actualy eyeball by a slice of a millimeter. It also stopped short by that same amount to her brain. If it had have touched her brain she would have died in those woods with my little brother. It broke her eyesocket, her nose, and SO many other things in that tiny area. I will refrain from the horrifying details of those two hours she was in the woods and the whole ambulance mishap! I'm actually going to fastforward about 2 weeks. She was in the hospital for 2+ weeks. She could see with that eye when it happened, before her surgery, and after surgery. Because the doctor did not check in on her, the pressure in her eye almost made it explode, so that had to do an emergency surgery right in her bed without any meds and cut her actual eye open and most of her face to try and save it, but it was too late. The pressure was too much, and when that happened, it pinched the optic nerve behind the eyeball, blinding her in that eye.

Fast forward to now. Through this trial I have learned more about the human eye than I ever cared to know, got to know what an amazing, strong, beautiful, and Godly woman my mom is, and I also learned that I will never ever be a doctor. My mom is just now (4 months after the accident) starting to drive, I'll update you when she's out and about :)

FrIeNdS! I am a people person. I like meeting new homies. I've met a lot of great people in 2010! I went to SpringHill and met a ton of people from GL and South that were prettttyyyy cool! Last night actually I went to a Bible Study with my friend Sarah, and I met two new girls that were wayyy cool and got to re-connect with two that I hadn't seen in a LONG time! It was so great! I've also really enjoyed making friends in YG because when we first started going to Graham, I didn't know anyone there, and I always felt like the odd duck. SO, to finalize the friend part... GO FRIENDS!

This year has been pretty awesome! To add on top of that, we're MOVING! After a five year struggle of selling our house, we finally sold it! We actually bought a house closer to life with 36 acres the first day it was on the market! Thankfully, we just happend to sell our house 1 month later after that purchase! We have to be moved out of our house by March 31st 2010! We also have to redo most of the new house because it was a repo so we are going to be living in a mess for awhile! (I'll keep ya updated on that one:)) If you guys have room ideas for colors or anything, let me know because I neeeeed helllppppp! :)

Lovely.

Ugh. I hate it when you realize that life isn't going so hot. :/ that time would be now.
* my parents have barely spoken to each other in the past WEEK or so
* i keep messing up friendships/relationships
* school is within the next month
* financial junk
* people without jobs
* we can't handle Brennan anymore. it's just too much. for everyone in my family.
* and some other crud.

UGH. I'm just so frustrated. My mom is just layering on the drama and I just flat out told her to knock it off. She is seriously acting like a thirteen year old. But my dad is so insensitive. He doesn't get what's going on. And guess where it all started, yeah.... Brennan. Ugh. I'm just so mad/sad/confused/upset/ and plain old bummed out. I think I'm gonna go drive around know... who knows where I'll end up! :]

I didn't shoot the sheriff... but I shot a blonde haired boy...

UGH.
I am seriously going to do something to Brennan and Asher. It's TOO much. It's too much for my mom. Me. Liza. Ava. and Asher. Mr. Parker doesn't understand HoW selfish/rude/obnoxious/and completely disobedient his own child is. Granted they are going through a tough time. But my poor mother had to leave crying today because Brennan was completely dissing my dad, "Mr. Braatz never takes us tubing... blah blah blah." Well ya know what Brennan?! This is an extrememly tough economy and he's trying to do everything to help you. He's given you his HOME, his FOOD, his FAMILY. My dad would give his own shirt off his back if you needed it. Also granted that Brennan doesn't fully understand that :/ Oh, so when my mom was telling him how my dad won the National Quality Dealer of the Year he just said (while she was still talking) BLAH BLAH BLAH. I don't care. It's like, are you kidding me?! Your honestly making a joke out of someone who deserves something so much and who will and IS doing SO much for you. I feel so bad for Asher because now he can't have any of his little friends over this summer, it's so sad. Brennan literally made one of Asher's friends come to near tears. It was terrible. And now Brennan has started to jus haul off and start punching! It's just bad. This entire thing is not working, at all. Now Mr. Parker is taking total advantage of us.... joy. He doesn't come home from work at 7pm. He usually wanders in to get Brennan around 8 or so while we are all trying to get all of his stuff he left strewn through the house together. It's not going well. My mom just got back a few minutes ago from her "outing" ugh. I hate that Brennan is doing this to her. It's terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! K, I have to go, volleyball camp at 8am. Woot!

WoWzA

My my. It sure has been quite an adventure...
Adventure is a misuse of words; tragedy would best fit the mood.
I haven't said anything else about Mrs. Parker on here.
The funeral went well, but it was so fake because everyone knew where she was going, like I said, it was so tragic. So Brennan is staying with us, 5 days a week from 7am to 7pm. They are long, hard, days. I'm surprised my mom hasn't lost it yet. It's not his fault, but he's so used to being catered upon, it just doesn't work a lot of the time. And poor Asher, he can't have any friends over this summer because Brennan is always here, and Brennan tends to cause major problems with Ashers friends. My poor mom can't even go anywhere because she has to watch him and I'm usually at work, so I'm not much help! :/
But anywhooo! I GET TO SEE BRAD PAISLEY ON FRIDAYYYY NIGHT!!!!!!!!! Boo and a yahh!
and
PRAISE THE LORD THAT MRS. OPPER IS GOING HOME TOMORROWWWWWWW!

Weird/random things going on:
So today it was really weird. Like, a TON of people at work wouldn't even say hello to me! It was the oddest thing! I would literally give them a very cheery, "Good morning!" and they would act like their shoe had a bomb on it! It was incredible, everyone that walked in literally wouldn't even give me eye contact! It was so strange! Then on chat tonight, I started talking to like three or four people and they all said they couldn't talk! What's wrong?! Lettuce in my teeth!? Hahaaa.
I won't be able to go to the Rebulation convention in Chicago after all. They are spreading Grandmas ashes that day. Sad :( (On both parts!)
I now have my drivers license, I have a life, a job, an income, and a car. woooooooot! :]]]
I get my paycheck in the mail on Thursday... I love payday, hehe! :]
Jonas Brother concert in less than three weeks... major countdown here! haha
I really should be getting to bed... :/ Oh well! :]

SSI was fabulous. Florida was amazing. Dad won the entire competition. Out of 20,000 other dealers in the entire United States, I get to be in the same household as Jeff Braatz, National Quality Dealer of the Year. Boo yahhh! What else... what else. Oh yeah, I'm trying to plan three main things this summer:
Road trip up to Mackinac Island with Krissie and Lauren
WV sleepover
2-3 more parties with 20+ people
Party, party, party! hehe! :]
I also want to be better on the piano, and like... yeah, lots more stuff. Forget three, hahaha. Well. I seriously need to get to bed! I will be posting more regulary! GB,

In Honor of Mrs. Parker.

Today was just like any other summer day. I woke up, got ready for tennis and left. But now my shirt is stained with tears and the lives of two men have been changed for the rest of their lives. Earlier today, the woman we have helped, and helped again, committed suicide. I loathe typing that word because it seems so fake on the computer. But Mr. Parker no longer has a wife. And Brennan Parker no longer has a mother. This just seems so wrong to me because Mrs. Opper is fighting for her life in a hospital bed, and someone just decided to waste theirs in their own garage, where her family will have to go by every single day of their lives.

The Parker boys are over as I type. Poor Brennan (only 8 years old) doesn't understand much of what is going on. I just keep looking into Mr. Parkers eyes and you can just grieve just by looking at them. It's such a strong coat of sadness and depression. How could anyone just give up the two most important things to them!? How could someone be so selfish as to take their own lives and leave what was left behind for other people to handle?! How could she?! How could she let her little boy grow up all alone without a mother to see him graduate from highschool, from college, get married, have himself a little boy or girl?! How could she do this to Tim!? After the 20 years they spent together through her drunkedness. How could she just do that to him!? Just typing this is making me realize how thankful I am for such a loving mother and father, and how good I really have it. I am once again in tears as I type, and it is such a sad and disgusting thing to have to process, for anyones age.

Mr. Parker and Brennie will be sleeping in my room because the carbon monoxide is in their home and they needed a place to stay. We have been Brennie's and Mr. Parkers main courage, strength, structure, peace, and their everythings through this process. And now that it's over, no one knows what to do. I'll keep updating this with the latest. Please, please, please. If you are reading this very sentence. Just stop.
Please pray for Mr. Parker right now. That he can be strong, feel God's peace, and be able to handle what is about to come (funeral homes, etc)
Please pray for Brennan also. He is only 8. He has had to deal with SoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO much more than ANY aged person should every experience. Please pray that he can be obedient to his father, and have peace as he gets older, also that he knows his mom loved him.
This still seems so unreal, yet I know it is.
"Great triumphs can only come out of great trials."
Over and Out.

Oh dear goodness..... :/

Well. I haven't written in awhile, sorry about that. It has been aboslutely insane over here. We have a neighbor who is a complete drunk, so we take her little boy over practically 24/7. It's become such an issue that she's gone into the ditch, and the police scanners know her as, "That drunk lady, again." So last night, during Asher's 9th birthday party, my mom finally persuaded the husband and Brennan to leave the house, so Mr. P went back to the house frantically packing before she got home. Poor Brennan, he didn't know what was going on, and he kinda snapped. :/ But anywho, they should be away from her now (this was all last night). I hope she can stop messing up and see what she's doing to Brennan and Mr. P. AND the entire neighborhood now that I think about it.

I am SooOOOOOoOOoOOooOOoOooooOooooOO excited for SSI! I never thought I would say it, but I really truly am! :] I'm going to room with like, two of the awesomest people I know; Colleen Hoch and Stephanie Edwards! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT! :))) I'm only going to be staying for the first 3-4 days because we are leaving for...
FlOrIdA!!!!
I'm really excited about that too, I need to get a serious tan...
Speaking of tan. I played tennis camp yesterday in the blistering heat for two hours. Without sun protection. Ha. I literally couldn't move in my bed last night, it was terrible! My shoulders are hot pink!! :P And then I had to vacuum at FNBA with the 10 pound vacuum on my SHOULDERS. It was sooooo painful! I won't be able to do that again tonight, so I have to ask Cole if it's alright that I don't vacuum! :/ :/ :/

Mrs. Opper isn't doing too well. :((((((((((((( Mom is taking baked goods up to the nurses everyday so they give her special attention, and it's totally working! Sad but true. They also found a "lump" on Mr. Oppers tailbone, so they have to do a biopsy and see if it's cancer or not. Uh, that poor family is going through so much. I can't even begin to FATHOM what they are going though at every one moment. I really need to set up another fasting thing for her. I'm actually going to do that as soon as I'm writing this!

So yup. Fun stuff. I need to go have some breakfast or lunch. Oh, and I have tennis today and work later tonight. I SERIOUSLY need to take the road test soon, so if anyone is reading this, please pray that I'll pass! :] Over and out! <3

Concert, Open Houses, Work, Detroit Princess, and Babysitting!

The concert was absolutely fabulous! Taylor Swift was fantastic and Keith Urban just got a new major fan! :]
Open Houses. Oh my goodness. SO MANY. I'm going to give everyone pencils next year! :)
Work is great, just got my check in the mail today, woot woot! I also start my reception job tomorrow officially! Gah! I hope I don't mess up! :D
We went on the Detroit Princess last night, it was a blast! The food was great. The dancing was really fun. (There were QUITE a few creepers there, but we're all alive!) And the boat was beautiful! We took Stephanie and Christie! Woot!
Agh. I just got back from babysitting. That was.... fun. Ha. Ok, no, not fun at all! They don't really obey and don't want to do any of the fun things I have pre-planned for them, it's kinda stinky :P
I have to get going. Oh yeah, an we started tennis on Tuesday, but I haven't been able to go on Wed, today or tomorrow because of other things.
Oh, Wednesday, us and the edwards shopped. not just shopped. but literally shopped til we dropped! I bought SO much stuff, it's embarassing! lol. and went to P.F. CHANGS! It was so good! Except our waitress was quite humorless :/ Again, we'll live!
Over and out----
